
Outlaws Defeat Florida Launch in a 20-14 Victory

DENVER - The Denver Outlaws (6-7) beat the Florida Launch (4-9) in a 20-14 contest at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Sunday in front of 5,168 fans in the 13th game of the 2015 MLL season. The Outlaws are one win away from wrapping up a .500 season.
The first half of today's matchup was a back and forth game between two teams that are both eliminated from playoff contention. Brent Hiken, a new player at the faceoff X, won his first scrap for the Outlaws right before the ball was turned over and the Launch took the 1-0 lead. Erik Adamson responded quickly with the first goal for Denver with 11:18 on the clock.
With six different Outlaws scoring in the first period of the game, Denver closed out the quarter leading 6-4. The give and take continued into the second half, with another three goals by each team adjusting the scoreboard to 9-7 going into the half.
To begin the second half, the Outlaws replaced goalie Jesse Schwartzman with Dillon Ward, and Chris Bocklet scored the first hat trick of the day, quickly matched by Drew Snider and Michael Bocklet. Midfielder, David Dickson scored his first career goal with 4:45 left in the period, closing out the third with a 15-9 lead.
The final quarter of the game was record-breaking for a pair of Bocklet brothers. Chris Bocklet moved into third place for career hat tricks by an Outlaw with his 18th and had a career-high seven goals. Older brother, Michael, scored a career-high five goals and tied the franchise record with 10 points in a game.
Denver will take on the New York Lizards Saturday at 3:00 p.m. MDT at Sports Authority Field at Mile High for their final game of the 2015 season.
