Williamsport Outlaws News Release
WAYNE, NJ - The New Jersey Outlaws have not only been winning hockey games, but they're winning over fans and families with the atmosphere created at the Capital One Ice Vault. Crowds are beginning to grow each and every game and there's no question as to why. There's a great product on the ice (The Outlaws are 26-2-0-3 and are they only team that is assured a playoff spot, thus far) and there's a welcoming presence the moment you meet any member of the Outlaws staff, front office, or team.
The Outlaws staff and front office listen to the fans that come to the Ice Vault, which is something you may not find in every professional sports organization. The team's strongest support comes from a group of die-hard hockey fans. At a recent team outing that invited fans to watch the Winter Classic with the Outlaws front office and players, Jane Jubilee, a fan you can find at virtually every home game, asked the team why game-used jerseys were yet to be auctioned off. At the following home games, there have been jerseys up for auction from stars like goaltender Dan McWhinney and forward John Goffredo. Things such as this do not go unnoticed, "Thanks again for listening to us and appreciating what we, as fans, bring to your organization and the team" says Jane Jubilee.
Other local hockey fans have now become part of Outlaws Nation, as the Tripodi family has attended all but three of the Outlaws 17 home games this season. The players and staff recognize the whole family at every game and they attribute it to the staff caring and the players having "a genuine interest in their fans" according to Eva Tripodi.
This level of service is not just extended to fans of the home team. The FHL broadcasts all of the league's games online to allow fans and families to watch their teams or relatives take the ice. Allison Jaegers, an avid Danville Dashers fan, was struck by the professionalism shown towards her beloved Dashers who are struggling through a rough inaugural season. "The class shown during this game (by the Outlaws announcers) reflects the class of the Outlaws organization as a whole". Brooklyn Aviators fan, Clifford Zeman, has attended several games at the Ice Vault to root on his "A's". "The fans were friendly and the staff was super friendly and couldn't do enough to make us happy". Zeman feels that the Outlaws and Aviators truly take the FHL's mission statement to heart of a "dedicated, customer oriented staff". Zeman adds, that the Ice Vault and Aviator Sports and Events Center "cater to the families, seeing that they have a safe and enjoyable night of sports entertainment".
For just about the price of a movie ticket ($13 for adults or $10 for kids), the Outlaws, and the FHL, is worth checking out live and in person. On top of the customer service, the speed of the game and skill of the players, "all come together to bring the crowd an exciting evening of smash mouth hockey" according to Outlaws fan, Frank Nesbitt. The Outlaws host 9 more regular season home games before storming into the FHL's Commissioner Cup playoffs.
