Otters double Knights for third straight

Justin Hodgman scored once and added three assists to lead the Erie Otters to a 4-2 win over the London Knights in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,583 at the Tullio Arena. Sean Jones, Nick Palmieri and Zack Torquato also scored for the Otters, who won for the third straight time to move to 7-20-2-1 on the season. Ryan O'Reilly supplied three assists. Adam Perry and Patrick Maroon scored for the Knights, who saw a three-game winning streak come to an end. London is now 19-10-0-2 on the season. The two teams were scoreless after one. Erie carried a 3-2 advantage into the third. Jaroslav Janus posted the win with a 33-save performance. The shots were even at 35. The three stars of the game were all from the Otters. Hodgman was the first, O'Reilly the second and Janus the third.

The Otters hit the road for the first of two in three nights Thursday in Saginaw and Friday in London. Both games can be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company). Thursday's game starts with the pre-game show at 6:55 p.m. Friday's game gets underway with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m. Saturday the Otters close out the first half of the season against the Kingston Frontenacs at 7:30 p.m. at the Tullio Arena. The first 2,500 fans into the game receive a free taco courtesy of Taco Bell. In addition, make a donation to Toys for Tots or the City Mission and receive two free tickets to the Otters game on January 2nd (limit two tickets per person) and all children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult courtesy of WICU.
