Erie Otters News Release

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League have announced that over 2,300 boxes of macaroni and cheese were collected and donated towards the Erie City Mission after the two Macaroni Madness nights held February 16 and March 2.

The Otters would like to thank their concerned corporate citizens Esser Family Dental, Lake Erie Spine & Injury Center, WICU and WSEE for their support in the inaugural Macaroni Madness drive.

The macaroni and cheese collected will be used in the Erie City Mission's Family Care Center Food Pantry and Daily Public Lunch.

Otters fans have contributed through other philanthropic ventures throughout the season. The Third Annual Hockey for the Hungry food drive collected over 2,000 pounds of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania. The Third Annual Teddy Bear Toss collected 4,618 stuffed animals for charity, more than the combined total of the previous two seasons.

The Otters will head out on the road tonight to take on the Guelph Storm at 7:30 p.m. Fans can listen to the action on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan or online at ottershockey.com (courtesy of the James H. Cross Company).

Individual tickets for the 2011 OHL Playoffs will go on sale starting at the first intermission of Sunday afternoon's game against the Sarnia Sting only at the Erie Civic Center Box Office until the end of the game. Tickets will be on sale starting at 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at all outlets.
