LONDON, Ont. - The London Knights used a seven-goal third period to lead the Erie Otters in the dust on their way to a 8-1 win in an Ontario Hockey League game played tonight in front of 8,887 at the John Labatt Centre.

Sean O'Connor paced the London offense with three goals and an assist while Akim Aliu added two goals and two assists. Adam Perry, Philip McRae and Justin Taylor rounded out the London scoring. The Knights improved to 20-10-1-2 with the win. Nick Palmieri scored the lone Otters goal. Erie lost for the second straight time to sink to 7-22-2-1. Zack Torquato collected an assist on the lone Otters goal to extend his point-scoring streak to 10 games. Justin Hodgman and Sean Jones saw their nine-game point-scoring streaks come to an end. Hodgman also saw his six-game goal-streak conclude.

The two teams were scoreless after one and tied at one after two. London out shot the Otters 46-33 in the game as Shane Owen took the loss. The three stars of the game were all from the Knights. O'Connor was the first, Aliu the second and Perry the third.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the Otters return home to meet the Kingston Frontenacs at 7:30 p.m. at the Tullio Arena. The first 2,500 fans into the game receive a free taco courtesy of Taco Bell. In addition, make a donation to Toys for Tots or the City Mission and receive two free tickets to the Otters game on January 2nd (limit two tickets per person) and all children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult courtesy of WICU.
