January 6, 2009 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Erie Otters News Release

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League look to extend a season-long six-game winning streak tomorrow (Wednesday) night when the London Knights visit the Tullio Arena for a 7 p.m. start.

Tickets for the game are available at all Erie-area Ticketmaster locations, the Civic Center Box Office, on line at www.ottershockey.com or by calling 814-452-4857.

The game can also be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m.

The Otters moved to 20-17-2-0 on the season and into a tie for fifth in the Western Conference with a 6-4 victory over the Kitchener Rangers in their last outing Saturday at the Tullio Arena. Andrew Yogan paced the attack against the Rangers with a hat trick, his second three-goal performance in the last four games. The 17 year-old Floridian has now scored 12 goals in 19 games since being acquired from the Windsor Spitfires at the beginning of November. Sean Jones added a pair of goals in the game to end a 12-game pointless streak while Ryan O'Reilly earned two assists to extend his point-scoring streak to fives games (three goals and six assists).

Erie's current six-game winning streak is their longest since winning eight-in-a-row in December 2002.

The Knights are in familiar territory halfway through the 2008-09 season, standing second in the Western Conference with a 28-8-0-1 record. London arrives coming off a 3-2 overtime win against Ottawa on Sunday marking their fifth such victory of the season.

Philip McRae leads the Knights in scoring with 21 goals and 22 assists for 43 points in 32 games. The St. Louis Blues prospect is in the midst of a six-game point streak accounting for four goals and five assists. Nazim Kadri is second in team scoring with 40 points in 27 games. Since returning from a month-long stay on the injury list, the 18 year-old has averaged two points per game collecting three goals and nine assists in six games.

The Knights have won all three meetings between the two teams so far this season.
