"I feel extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to play professional baseball," said Maher. "I am so thankful for the constant guidance and support FDU has given to me. I am even more grateful for playing under Coach DeFabbia, who believed in me, constantly worked with me to get better and never gave up on me. I felt so proud to tell him that I signed the contract to play in the Frontier League. I am very excited to take on this challenge and pursue my dream."
