Binghamton Senators News Release
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has agreed to terms with forward Cole Schneider on a one-year, two-way contract. The contract will carry an annual value of $700,000 in the National Hockey League and of $110,000 in the American Hockey League.
A native of Williamsville, N.Y., Schneider recently completed his third full professional season with the AHL's Binghamton Senators, establishing new career highs in goals (29), assists (29) and points (58). He led the B-Sens in goals while concluding the campaign ranking third among Binghamton players in scoring. In 209 professional games (all of which have occurred with Binghamton) Schneider ranks fifth among all-time B-Sens in both goals (66) and points (149) while his 83 assists see him sit ninth in franchise history.
Undrafted, Schneider, 24, was originally signed by the Senators on March 14, 2012, after spending two seasons of collegiate hockey with the University of Connecticut (Hockey East), and leading the team in scoring in both his freshman and sophomore seasons.
