Ottawa Fury FC and TD Place Joining the Access 2 Program

Ottawa Fury FC News Release

OTTAWA - Ottawa Fury FC and TD Place are joining the award-winning Access 2 Card program to further improve accessibility to home matches for Ottawa-Gatineau residents who are living with disabilities.

"We are trying to build more inclusive experiences and inclusive social movements at Lansdowne, TD Place and within our sports teams," commented Mark Goudie, CEO of the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG), parent company of Ottawa Fury FC and operator of TD Place. "We hope that our partnership with the Access 2 Card program can be a small step towards achieving that."

The introduction of the Access 2 Card program will offer greater personalization for guests as they are now given the chance to choose the person that will accompany them to Fury FC matches while simplifying the process of obtaining, finding and reaching their accessible seating at our venue.

After registering with the program, cardholders will only need to visit the box office at TD Place prior to a game to buy their ticket and receive their companion ticket for free.

Through this implementation, Ottawa Fury FC and TD Place joins Cineplex Lansdowne in delivering the Access 2 Card program, further contributing to its promise of offering fully accessible services to all guests across the site, and consolidating the vision for a safe and welcoming environment at TD Place and Lansdowne Park.

The Access 2 Card program helps ensure that entertainment, cultural, and recreational opportunities are more available and accessible to all. Managed and administered by Easter Seals Canada, the Access 2 Card program has grown to reach over 75,000 Canadians who are living with disabilities and includes over 500 participating partner venues across the country.

The Access 2 Card program will officially make its debut at TD Place ahead of the June 2 Fury FC match as Ottawa faces off against the Charlotte Independence. The program will be a great addition to the already existing Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) services in place at TD Place.

Ottawa 67's fans can expect the implementation of the program at The Arena at TD Place at the start of the 2019-2020 season.
