MISSOULA, MT - Bobby Stone hit a two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning, which gave the Missoula Osprey a 4-2 win over Great Falls on Tuesday at Ogren Park Allegiance Field.

Most of the 2,552 fans were still in attendance when Paul Goldschmidt singled to right field off of Voyager reliever Greg Johnson (1-2). Stone followed with his 13th home run of the season, and second walk-off hit, to snap a three-game losing streak in extra innings. It also snapped a two-game losing streak for Missoula.

The starting pitchers both dueled deep into the game. Osprey right-hander Charles Brewer scattered six hits and struck out six while allowing one run. Great Falls right-hander Terry Doyle was more than up to the task, striking out 12 batters and allowing just three hits and a walk in seven innings. The lone run he surrendered was a solo home run to Ramon Castillo in the second inning which gave Missoula a 1-0 lead.

Great Falls would score single runs in the fifth and seventh innings to take a 2-1 lead. The Osprey rallied in the ninth, as Chris Owings reached on an infield hit, and scored when Paul Goldschmidt singled up the middle for a 2-2 tie.

The Osprey bullpen held the Voyagers to just one hit in the final four innings, striking out three to give the Osprey a chance to win. Adam Worthington (4-3) pitched a perfect 11th inning to get the win on the mound.

With the win, the Osprey (9-12, 30-29) have moved back into sole possession of first place, one game in front of Great Falls, and 2 ½ games ahead of both Billings and Helena.

The Osprey and Voyagers will play game two of their three-game series at Ogren Park Allegiance Field on Wednesday. Chase Anderson (3-0, 2.25 ERA) will make his first start for the Osprey, while the Voyagers will send out right-hander J.R. Ballinger (1-0, 3.81).

Tickets for any remaining Osprey home game this season can be obtained by calling the Osprey at (406) 543-3300, stopping by the Osprey Team Store at 412 W. Alder, or ordering online at www.missoulaosprey.com.
