
Oshawa Power Win Big Game 107-96 Over the Moncton Miracles

(OSHAWA, ON) Durham"Ÿs Team the Oshawa Power defeated the Moncton Miracles 107-96 to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Power started off red hot jumping on the visiting Miracles taking a 21-14 lead. The Miracles made the game interesting late in the fourth, but the Power took control and maintained the lead.
Brandon Robinson continued his scoring tear recording 30 points and 12 rebounds. Robinson was focused and made a conscious effort to get to the basket early and often.
"Coach Brickey told me don"Ÿt settle, get to the paint," said Robinson after the game. "Get a lot of paint touches, get to the free throw line and that"Ÿs what helped me with the performance tonight."
Canadian Kevin Shand had his best game in a Power uniform, and was a presence in the paint posting 14 points and 7 rebounds. York University Alum Tut Ruach came alive in the fourth to pace the Power with some crucial baskets on his way an 18 point night.
The Miracles got a strong performance from Darrell Wonge who led the team in scoring with 25 points and former Power player Akeem Wright who recorded 19 points in his return to Oshawa.
The next Power home game is Friday February 10 as they take on the Halifax Rainmen.
