O's Plan Big Promotions

BLUEFIELD, WV, June 20-- With opening day at Bowen Field this weekend, the Bluefield Orioles are gearing up for another season. They have scheduled special promotional events for almost every home game this summer. In their 51st year, the longest running minor league affiliate team, the Orioles are looking to renew excitement about their hometown baseball club and get more involved throughout the community. The promotional nights coming up are as follows: Sunday, June 22: Play catch with Dad on the field following the game. Kids and their fathers are encouraged to bring their gloves and will be allowed on the field after the game to play catch. Baseballs will be provided to use.

Monday, June 23: Frontier Communications Night- Seat Cushion Giveaway, the first 500 through the gate with receive a free seat cushion courtesy of Frontier Communications.

Tuesday, June 24: Military Appreciation Night- anyone who presents a military ID at the gate will receive admission at half price.

Wednesday, June 25: Little League Night- and Little Leaguer dressed in their team uniform will get into the game free. They must be accompanied by a paying adult. We hope to see everyone this summer out at Bowen Field for food, fun, and a whole lot of baseball.
