Orlando SeaWolves News Release

Kansas City, MO - After almost a month off and a number of roster and coaching changes, the Orlando SeaWolves will get back to league play as they travel to Kansas City and Lakeland to take on the Comets on Friday, January 10th at 8:05 p.m EST, while the Tropics match set for Sunday, January 12th at 3:05 p.m. EST. Both matches will be televised online at masl.tv.

"The travel in this league is always tough," Head Coach Tom Traxler said after practice Thursday. "Great fans in Kansas City, great team with guys like Leo Gibson. It's going to be a fantastic match. Then you turn right around and you come to one of the hottest teams in the league, the Florida Tropics. I have a lot of respect for what they've put together, what Clay Roberts has done there and that one's going to be tough for sure."

The SeaWolves and Comets played four times last season, with Orlando winning once in Kansas City, 6-4. For the Tropics, this will be the two teams' 10th meeting, with Florida leading the all-time series 5-4.

Ahead of this weekend, Orlando has re-signed former defender Rafa Tobias, midfielder Darren Bell, and midfielder J.C. Henson to bolster the roster. Each of them will provide depth to the roster with the games being in so close proximity.

Following Sunday's game, the SeaWolves will once again play the Florida Tropics in Lakeland on Sunday, January 19th. That game is set to kick off at 3:05 p.m. ET.
