Orlando Pride News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Pride has unveiled its new 2020-21 White Plume Away Kit. Inspired by the iconic swans of Lake Eola, the 2020-21 Pride away kit is a nod to the City of Orlando and a tribute to the love and devotion of the Pride's most passionate fans - including the formidable Exploria Stadium environment that is orchestrated and impassioned by the Club's recognized supporters group, the Black Swans Drinking Club.
The White Plume will serve as the Pride's away kit for both the 2020 and 2021 National Women's Soccer League seasons. Fans can purchase the jersey now at shoporlandopride.com with customization options for name and number available featuring the official NWSL jersey font.
The kit's clean and elegant white design features a subtle, abstract feather pattern that wraps around the shoulder and sleeves. The pattern, modeled after feathers of the Lake Eola swans, represents the Pride's "migration" to face its NWSL opponents in its annual travels across the country.
In addition, the White Plume kit will feature a single, black feather at the Jock Tag, a fueling reminder of the energy and passion of the Black Swans and Pride fans, even when the team is on the road.
The kit is designed with Nike's Dri-FIT material, built to keep cool for those both on the field and cheering from the stands. Its mesh back panel and side stripe provides added breathability while the seamless shoulder pattern allows for extra mobility and comfort.
Prominently displayed across the front of the jersey is the logo of the Club's presenting partner and Official Medical Team, Orlando Health, marking the fifth-consecutive year that Orlando Health is featured on the Orlando Pride home and away kits. In celebration of the five-year partnership between Orlando Health and the Pride, the jersey was also unveiled by four female members of Orlando Health's leadership team - Bernadette Spong, chief financial officer; Kelly Nierstedt, president of Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies; Suzanne Worthington, chief operating officer of OB-GYN and Pediatric Specialty Practices at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital; and LaTasha Barnes, chief financial officer of Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
New for 2020, goalkeeper kits will also be available for fans to purchase. The Nike long-sleeve kits, replicas of those the Pride's shot stoppers will wear on the pitch, will also be available for pre-order in both purple and black at shoporlandopride.com starting on June 10.
