April 17, 2012 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Orlando Predators News Release

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Predators continue to make changes to the team roster following a heartbreaking 57-54 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Power Saturday night, resulting in the team's first 0-5 season start.

Following strong play from new quarterback Justin Roper, Collin Drafts - who started the first four games of the season at QB for the team - was released on Monday. Roper played his college ball at the University of Oregon for two seasons before transferring to Montana.

In addition to the changes at quarterback, the Predators also traded DB Kelvin Rogers to the Milwaukee Mustangs and received DB Justin Hannah. Hannah played four games for the Mustangs and played college football for Tuskegee. DB Ahmad Carroll was also traded to the Arizona Rattlers for the #3 Claim Order spot.

The Predators face off against the Georgia Force on Friday, April 20 at the Amway Center. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.

The Predators' No. 3 ranked defense will face a big challenge this week, squaring off against the Georgia offense led by wide receivers Larry Shipp and Brandon McRae. Shipp has recorded 14 touchdowns in five games, while McRae has hauled in 11 touchdowns, including three in last week's game against the Chicago Rush, forcing an end to the Rush's undefeated season.

Orlando's Arena Football League franchise since 1991, the Orlando Predators are entering their 21st year in the AFL. In that time, the Predators have advanced to the AFL Playoffs a league-leading 19 consecutive seasons and appeared in the Arena Bowl seven times, winning AFL Championships in 1998 and 2000.
