Orem Ends Missoula's Win Streak, 13-4

MISSOULA, Mont. - The Orem Owlz scored the game's final eight runs, mainly five in the top of the eighth inning to post a 13-4 victory over the Missoula Osprey in front of 2,294 fans at Ogren Park Allegiance Field. Missoula looked poised to answer Orem's four-run first inning with a solo home run from Trevor Mitsui in the second inning, his team-high seventh homer of the summer. Yosbel Gutierrez brought in his sixth RBI of the season in the inning as well.

Missoula (15-18) second baseman Fernery Ozuna slammed two home runs, his second and third of the year, and after five innings the Osprey trailed Orem 5-4.

Orem (22-11) would answer with three runs in the next frame before an explosive five-run eighth inning off reliever Tyler Toyfair. In total, Orem tallied seventeen hits, with five off starter Brad Keller who fell to 0-4.

Michael Bolaski for Orem earned the win to move to 4-1 on the year. He went six innings and gave up four earned runs off two walks and five strikeouts. Alex Klonowski picked up his first save of the season working three innings and allowing one hit, a walk, and three strikeouts.

Missoula sees its three-game winning streak come to an end and will look to bounce back with Carlos Hernandez on the hill tomorrow. Hernandez is 2-1 with a 3.99 ERA and will duel against Orem's Angel Guerra. The Orem righty is 2-1 with a 5.18 ERA.
