With the NBLC playoffs inching closer, the Orangeville A's (12-23) were hoping to make the most out of their Friday night home game against the Niagara River Lions (14-21). After being named Co-NBLC Player of the Week, A's forward Richard Amardi was unavailable for the A's tonight due to an illness.

After kicking off the 1st with a 9-0 run, the A's would continue to lead the River Lions for the rest of the quarter. A's forward Justin Moss got the offence flowing early, dropping 10 points in the 1st quarter of play. Moss would move on to finish the match with a total of 22 points and 8 rebounds, helping the A's finish the 1st quarter with a 31-24 advantage.

The River Lions would put up a fight in the 2nd, managing to finally take their 1st lead of the game at the 7:42 mark, 38-36. River Lion's forward B.J Monteiro had an effective 1st half for the away team, collecting 10 points and 7 rebounds out of his total 16 points and 9 rebounds. After getting outscored (30-17) in the 2nd by Niagara, Orangeville would conclude the 1st half with a 6 point deficit, 54-48.

Finding themselves down by as much as 13, the A's had trouble finding a consistent scoring rhythm throughout the 3rd. Orangeville would struggle particularly with their shooting efficiency, after only going 41% from the field in the 3rd quarter. A's guard Louis Munks was one of the few bright spots for the A's in the 3rd, scoring 8 of his total 27 points on the night. Tonight's 3rd quarter concluded with an 8 point Niagara lead, 88-80.

After a slow 3rd quarter for the A's, they were able to trim the River Lion's lead to as little as 2 points at the 7:44 mark, 90-88. The A's were unable to close the gap in the final quarter of play, allowing Niagara to shoot 54% from 3PT in the 4th. Tonight's game would eventually conclude with an 11 point A's deficit, 119-108.

Key Game Notes:

- A's guard Lewis Jackson would continue his streak of high assist performances, after finishing tonight's game with 9 assists

- Despite going a respectable 45% from the field as a team, the A's defence was not able to contain the River Lions

- Louis Munks would have a red hot 4th quarter, finishing the game with 27 points and 5/9 from 3PT
