Orange County SC Signs Center Back Walker Hume

IRVINE, Calif. - Orange County Soccer Club announced the signing of defender Walker Hume. The Dallas born center back joined Orange County SC in 2017 on loan from FC Dallas. A late-season addition, Hume made 9 appearances for the club.

"I'm very happy to have Walker back with us and am looking forward to having him with us for a full season. He made a big impact for us at the end of last season in the short period of time he was with us on loan from FC Dallas," said Orange County SC Head Coach, Braeden Cloutier. "He's very comfortable on the ball and reads the game really well. He's a great teammate who fits perfectly with how we want to play."

Hume, 24, was selected by FC Dallas in the 2nd Round of the 2017 MLS Super Draft. He began playing in college with Rollins College before transitioning to UNC at Chapel Hill during the 2014 season. During college, Hume appeared for Austin Aztex and Midland/Odessa Sockers. He then signed with Portland Timbers U23s.

Orange County SC will kick-off its home opener at Championship Soccer Stadium at the Orange County Great Park this Saturday, March 17 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available online at orangecountysoccer.com or via phone at (949) 647-GOAL.
