Orange County SC News Release
IRVINE, Calif. - Orange County Soccer Club announced winger Mark Segbers will join the club on a season long loan from New England Revolution with the right to recall at any time during the loan period.
The Revolution selected Segbers 9th overall in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft from the University of Wisconsin. Segbers, 21, made 77 appearances for Wisconsin. He collected 16 goals and 22 assists during his college career. He was a Second Team All-Big Ten Conference selection in his senior year.
"We have tracked Mark for some time after impressing the technical staff at the 2018 MLS Combine," said Orange County SC Assistant GM and SVP of Player Recruitment & Soccer Operations, Peter Nugent. "He is a dynamic player, who's direct running and pace will cause opposing teams problems this year."
Orange County SC will kick-off its home opener at Championship Soccer Stadium at the Orange County Great Park this Saturday, March 17 at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available online at orangecountysoccer.com or via phone at (949) 647-GOAL.
