Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

Fargo (ND) For the second consecutive season, the Fargo-Moorhead Jets are using the most basic form of advertising to help spread the word about the team. Beginning this week, the FM Jets team of interns are walking around the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area, knocking on residents' front doors and telling everyone the story of the region's junior A hockey franchise.

The project has been named Operation Hello: Intern Patrol.

Armed with magnet and business card schedules, the interns are canvassing various neighborhoods in Fargo, Moorhead, Dilworth and West Fargo. Upon introducing themselves to the area, the interns are handing out the FM Jets' schedule and informing those who aren't familiar with the team, about the franchise's success.

"This was a great promotion for us last year, and is a great way for us to show the community we care about having everyone know about us" said general manager Randy Nielsen.

Interns are roaming the area from 6pm-8pm each weeknight until Nov. 3.

This is actually the first part of this season's version of Operation Hello. Players will also go door-to-door in early December, in preparation for Neighbor Night, which is set for Dec. 16.

The FM Jets are the 2005 Borne Cup Champions and are entering their third season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 30th year of operation.

Jets home games are played at the John E. Carlson Coliseum in Fargo, ND. All games are broadcast at STAR 103.9 and fmjets.com.
