
Former Wichita Falls teammates Face off in D-I battle

On Friday, October 21st the Air Force Academy Falcons played host to the Denver University Pioneers. This match up was unique because there was a former Wichita Falls player playing on each Division I team. Goaltender Peter Foster and forward Jay Medenwaldt play for Air Force, while their former Wichita Falls teammate Zach Blom was playing for Denver. All three players played together during the inaugural season of hockey in Wichita Falls.
The game was a close contest with Denver winning 4-2. Blom, who was a captain during his second season in Wichita Falls, scored a goal and netted an assist in the game. Medenwaldt, who was the first ever Wichita Falls captain scored a goal for Air Force, while Foster was in net and picked up the loss.
