
Ontario's Carrozzi Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Chris Carrozzi of the Ontario Reign is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 29-Nov. 4. He also won the award for the week ending March 6, 2011 .
The 22-year-old went 3-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.67 goals-against average and a save percentage of .938 in three appearances last week.
Carrozzi opened the week with 27 saves in a 5-3 win at Las Vegas on Friday and the next night, posted his first shutout of the season, making 27 saves in a 4-0 victory against the Wranglers. He ended the week with 21 saves in a 5-2 win against Bakersfield on Sunday.
A native of Nepean, Ontario, Carrozzi has appeared in seven games with the Reign this season posting a record of 4-3-0 with one shutout, a 3.20 goals-against average and a save percentage of .881.
Selected in the sixth round (154th overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Carrozzi has appeared in 84 career ECHL games with Ontario, Colorado and Gwinnett posting a record of 37-30-10 with six shutouts, a 2.93 goals-against average and a save percentage of .902.
Under contract to the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League, Carrozzi also has three games of experience in the American Hockey League with Chicago and St. John's.
