Ontario Reign in Front of San Jose Barracuda Goal

The Week That Was...
The Ontario Reign took on the San Jose Barracuda in Game 1 and Game 2 of the Pacific Division Semifinals last week in San Jose, California, earning a 1-1 series split.
In Game 1, defenseman Kurtis MacDermid grabbed the first AHL playoff goal in Reign history and forward Jonny Brodzinski buried the game-winning maker with 4:03 left in the third period to give the Reign a 2-1 victory. Goaltender Peter Budaj earned his first professional playoff victory, making 28 saves.
The Barracuda responded in Game 2, taking a 3-1 lead late into the contest. Brodzinski added another late-game tally, but the Reign ran out of time for the equalizing marker. MacDermid also lit the goal lamp for Ontario.
