ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, announced the addition of a free game-day audio broadcast for the 2011-12 season. Experienced hockey broadcaster Dan Hubbard will bring bring Reign play-by-play action to fans live via the internet.

"It has been a long time coming now for the Reign to finally have our own broadcaster. As I've said since the beginning it's been on our radar but it had to be the right situation," Ontario President Justin Kemp said. "I have known Dan for several years back to my days with the Ice Dogs and we were able to negotiate an agreement that is mutually beneficial and financially viable for both of us. We're excited to give our fans the opportunity to listen to their very own home team announcer this upcoming season."

Fans will be able to access Hubbard's broadcasts through a link on the Reign Web site. Hubbard will also be simulcast as the soundtrack on most of the Reign's home games shown through America One, the fee-based service which provides video web casts of ECHL games. The shows will include 15 minute pre-game and post-game shows, interviews with players and coaches, as well as on-air promotions in which fans will have the opportunity to interact with the team and win tickets.

Hubbard spent 2003 to 2006 as the Long Beach Ice Dogs' television play-by-play announcer. He also has over a decade of collegiate experience, as the veteran broadcaster has called baseball, basketball, and volleyball television broadcasts at both CSU San Bernardino and UC Riverside. Hubbard served as the radio play-by-play presenter for over 1,400 Lancaster JetHawks baseball games and worked two years as Lancaster's Fox Sports 610 AM program director.

"I have been a hockey fan and a Kings fan since I was a teen, so being able to call hockey games again is a dream come true," said Hubbard. "Having the opportunity to work with a great organization like the Ontario Reign and the Kemp family only makes this agreement more exciting for me."
