Montoursville native Tom O'Malley will join Phillies manager Pete Mackanin and catcher Cameron Rupp as well as Cutters manager Pat Borders as special guests for the Williamsport Crosscutters 10th Annual Hot Stove Banquet with the Phillies. Additional guests are scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks.

The evening will be held on Monday, January 18 in the Grand Ballroom of the Genetti Hotel in Williamsport. The event is presented in part by WRAK 1400AM, Woodlands Bank, and the Williamsport Sun-Gazette. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the James V. Brown Library.

O'Malley made his major league debut with the San Francisco Giants in 1982, spending a total of 9 seasons in the majors followed by six highly successful seasons in Japan. He currently serves as a hitting coach for the Hanshin Tigers in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball League. Mackanin was appointed Phillies manager on June 26, 2015 after the resignation of Ryne Sandberg. Rupp appeared in 81 games for the 2015 Phillies hitting .233 with 9 home runs. He began his professional career with Williamsport in 2010 after being drafted in the 3rd round by Philadelphia. Borders led the team to a league-best 45-33 record in 2015 resulting in the Cutters first playoff appearance since 2005. The 45 wins were the most by the club since recording 46 in 2003. He was the starting catcher for the Blue Jays World Series championship clubs in 1992 and 1993 and was named the World Series MVP in '92.

The evening will consist of a full-course dinner, along with interviews and question and answer segments with many of the special guests, giving fans the opportunity to hear from Phillies players and staff about the upcoming season. There will also be both live and silent auctions of sports memorabilia from the Phillies, Crosscutters and other various teams.

One of the event highlights is the announcement of the latest inductee to the Bowman Field Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was started in 1989 by the Bowman Field Commission and the Williamsport Bills as a way to honor those who were influential and important to the history of Bowman Field and professional baseball in Williamsport.

The dinner and entertainment portion of the event will begin promptly at 6:30 PM, preceded by an hour of mingling, fun and games with Boomer and the Phillie Phanatic. A limited autograph session will take place at the close of event.

Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased by calling the Cutters offices at (570) 326-3389 or ordering online at www.crosscutters.com. This event is a virtual sell-out every year, so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets now. Seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Business sponsorships for the event are also available.

The Crosscutters 2016 season opens on Friday, June 17 against the State College Spikes. Season tickets and Bonus Book mini-plans are now available by phone, online or in-person at BB&T Ballpark.
