Omaha Beef to Face 4-State Fusion

RALSTON, NE - The Omaha Beef are pleased to announce they will play host to the 4-State Fusion from Joplin, Missouri in a Pre-season game match-up on March 16th @ Ralston Arena with a scheduled kickoff time of 7:00pm. The Fusion will enter the contest having won the CPFL League Championship four of the past five seasons and an eye towards taking the title of league champions again in 2019. Over that time frame the 4-State Fusion have been ranked nationally in the regional top 20 rankings.
"We are very excited to face the Omaha Beef for our first game of the upcoming 2019 season," states Fusion Head Coach, Marvin Frost. "Over the past few years we have had several players leave the Fusion family for advancement to higher level leagues, and this will be a good test to gauge where we stand at not only as a team but also individually evaluate players on our current roster. This will be an exciting game for everyone involved including the fans".
Omaha Beef Head Coach, James Kerwin on playing the 4-State Fusion says, "With so many new players on the roster for the 2019 season, playing this pre-season game will be vital to building our team chemistry and cohesiveness on offense, defense and special teams. It will be a great test not only for our players but also for our coaching staff who will all be working together on the field for the first time. I've looked at the Fusion's roster and there's a few players on their team that we will be carefully evaluating in addition to our players, it should be a great test for both teams".
