
Omaha Beef To Attend Skate Daze's Skate A Million Miles Kickoff

Omaha, NE - Representatives from the Omaha Beef professional indoor football team will appear Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Skate Daze, 3616 S. 132nd Street, in Omaha. The team will be assisting with the kickoff of Skate Daze's "Skate a Million Miles" campaign.
The purpose of the "Skate a Million Miles" campaign is to have children participate in skating as a way of enjoying a healthy and active lifestyle. During the following six weeks, a group of children from across the United States will be trying to attain a goal of skating a million miles.
Skate Daze is one of many key local components of the BEEF's "Get Lean with the BEEF" program.
Rob Klug, BEEF Operations Intern/"Get Lean with the BEEF" Director, says the BEEF are elated to be a part of the event.
"The BEEF are always for looking for new and exciting ways for children to continue their healthy and active lifestyle," Klug said. "Roller skating is one of the many exercise options that children can be involved with."
In addition to the event, there will be an opportunity to meet and greet with the BEEF. Players, dancers, and Sir Loin will be available for pictures and autographs.
The Omaha Beef opened their 2008 home season versus the Bloomington Extreme on March 15, 2008. All home games will be played at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the United Indoor Football Association, the premier indoor football league in America.
