
Omaha Beef name Steve Warren head coach

Omaha, NE - The Omaha Beef professional indoor football team have named their coaching staff for the 2008 season.
The head coach will be Steve Warren. He will be assisted by James Kerwin, Tony Veland and Tommie Williams.
Warren will begin his second season with the Beef, first as Head Coach. The native of Springfield, MO spent last season with the Beef as a volunteer coach, helping out with the defensive line.
Kerwin will be returning for his third season with the Beef. The native of Council Bluffs, IA, has been with the team since 2006. He will serve as Assistant Head Coach/Director of Football Operations.
Veland will begin his sixth season with the Beef. The native of Omaha has been with the team since 2003. He will serve as Defensive Coordinator.
Williams will also be returning for his third season with the Beef. The native of Omaha has been with the team since 2006. He originally played for the Beef in 2000 during the team's first season. Williams will serve as Offense/Special Teams Coordinator.
Beef Team President Dakota Crow is thrilled with the coaching staff. "Each of these great coaches represents what the new Omaha Beef are all about," Crow said. "Their level of class, character and professionalism is unmatched in the indoor game. We are looking for big things in 2008. Steve's strong leadership and years of football experience will undoubtedly help the Beef be successful on and off the field. James, Tony and Tommie have helped build the foundation of our team and will help Steve bring the first-ever indoor championship to Omaha."
