CHESTER, Pa. - The Philadelphia Union II faced off against Atlanta United 2 at Subaru Park on Friday night, winning 1-0. With the win, Union II remain in sixth place with 17 points. The first half remained scoreless with both sides creating chances. Union II scored the first goal of the game when midfielder C.J. Olney opened the scoring in the 57th minute, assisted by forward Nelson Pierre. Goalkeeper Brooks Thompson registered his first MLS NEXT Pro clean sheet of the season, recording three saves.
Philadelphia Union II return home on Wednesday, June 14 (7:00 p.m. ET) where they play Crown Legacy FC at Subaru Park.
