TONIGHT: The RedHawks and Memphis Redbirds meet in the third of a 4-game series at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Memphis won last night 5-2 to take a 2-0 series lead. OKC leads the season series 6-4, but Memphis has taken the last 3 overall. The RedHawks have dropped 6 straight home games, earning their last home win May 14 over Sacramento. Lefty Michael Kirkman, eighth in the league with a 2.85 ERA, gets the start for the division-leading RedHawks, who are 1.5 games up on Albuquerque. Memphis southpaw Ryan Kulik makes his second career Triple-A start.

HITS HARD TO COME BY: OKC has been limited to 6 hits in each of the first 2 games this series and has been out-hit in 3 straight dating to a 4-hit performance in the trip finale in New Orleans on Monday. In 17 games since the start of the Fresno series at home May 15, the RedHawks have totaled 123 hits, an average of 7.2 per game. They've been out-hit in 10 of those 17 games and are 7-10 in that span. For the season, OKC is 21-5 when out-hitting the opposition, 5-17 when out-hit and 2-2 when the hits are even.

BASE STEALING PRECISION: The RedHawks own the base caught stealing percentage (17.2) in the PCL. OKC has swiped 48 bases in 58 tries. The second-best caught stealing percentage belongs to Round Rock and Salt Lake, each going 11-for-46, 23.9.

PETIT EXTENDS ON-BASE RUN: With a hit-by-pitch in his final plate appearance last night, Gregorio Petit extended his on-base streak to 15 games. Among RedHawks, it's the best active on-base streak. Esteban German had an 18-game on-base streak earlier this season and maintains an active 18-game streak in road contests, which is tops in the league in 2010.

GARKO'S HITTING STREAK STOPPED: Ryan Garko had a 10-game hitting streak snapped last night. It was the second-longest streak of the year behind Jarrod Saltalamacchia's 16-gamer from April 21-May 11. Salty's streak is tied for the fourth-longest of the season in the PCL.

PROVIDING RELIEF: Entering the previous homestand on May 11, RedHawks' starters had compiled at 12-4 record and 2.52 ERA for the season, while the bullpen was a collective 6-9 with a 4.87. In the 21 games since, the starters have gone 5-9 and the bullpen 5-2, with the season ERAs now 3.19 for the starters and 3.57 for the relievers. The bullpen has been bolstered by the promotions of Tanner Scheppers, Alexi Ogando and Zach Phillips, while three original rotation members (Derek Holland, Guillermo Moscoso and Brandon McCarthy) have missed significant time with callups or injuries.

BULLPEN UPDATE: In the past 17 games, OKC's bullpen has worked 60.2 innings, allowing 10 earned runs (1.48 ERA) on 34 hits while going 3-1.

PITCHING: OKC leads the PCL in team ERA at 3.34. Nashville has the second-best mark at 3.50. The RedHawks have allowed the fewest home runs (27) in the league. Fresno is closest with 34 home runs surrendered. OKC has allowed the fewest earned runs (171) and total runs (201). OKC pitching has the second-most strikeouts (385) behind Sacramento's 413.

DEFENSE: The RedHawks are fourth in the PCL in team fielding percentage (.980) and have committed the fourth-fewest errors (40). The RedHawks have committed an error in 3 straight. They are 17-8 when errorless and 11-16 when charged with an error. Second baseman Hernan Iribarren leads PCL second basemen with a .995 fielding percentage, 1 error in 205 total chances.

ODDS AND ENDS: Esteban German is second in the league lead with 39 runs scored and 19 stolen bases...Sacramento's Corey Wimberley has 21 steals...German is tied for fifth in the PCL in walks with 31...Hernan Iribarren, Memphis' Hector Luna and Tacoma's Mike Carp share the league lead with 5 sacrifice flies.
