
Oilers Forward Named CHL Player of the Month

TULSA, OK- Tulsa Oilers forward Todd Marcellus has been named the Central Hockey League Player of the Month for November, the CHL office announced this afternoon. The award marks the second time this week that Marcellus has earned honors, as he was named the CHL Player of the Week for last week.
Marcellus led the Oilers to a CHL-best 13-1-0 record for the month of November. He scored in all but two games in November, finding the net twice in six games, and led the CHL with 24 points (13-11-24) last month. On the season, the 5-10, 185 pound forward ranks second in the CHL with 32 points, including a league-high 17 goals. His plus/minus rating of +19 ranks him second in the league, behind only teammate Jamie Steer's rating of +21.
Marcellus and the rest of the Northwest Division-leading Oilers (18-3-0, 36 points) travel to Indianapolis this Friday and Saturday nights for a pair of games against the Ice (8-4-5, 21 points). The Oilers will return home next weekend as they host the Fort Worth Brahmas on Friday, December 13th and the Wichita Thunder on Saturday, December 14th. Both games will begin at 7:35 p.m. and will be played at the Tulsa Convention Center.
