Tulsa - The Denver Cutthroats road series came to a close on Saturday, February 1 against the Tulsa Oilers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Oilers defeated the Cutthroats 4-1 for the first time during the 2013-14 season series.

Oilers Adam Pleskach (Ryan Menei, Eric Tallent) scored the opening goal of the night to give Tulsa a 1-0 lead. With a shot from between the circles, Cutthroats Robin Soudek (Vincent Arseneau, Garett Bembridge) matched the Oilers goal to tie the score at one. Blair Macaulay (Kyle Bochek, Michel Beausoleil) gave the Oilers a two-point advantage. Macaulay (Beausoleil, Bochek) scored his second goal of the night to extend Tulsa's lead 3-1 to close the opening frame.

After a scoreless second period, Oilers Michel Beausoleil (Scott Macaulay, Bochek) sealed Tulsa's victory over the Denver Cutthroats with the fourth and game-winning goal. Saturday night's defeat is the Cutthroats eighth regulation loss on the road during the 2013-14 season.
