Ohio defeats Des Moines 3-2
Columbus, OH. - The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets scored all of its goals in the second period as they defeated the Des Moines Buccaneers 3-2 at the Dispatch Ice Haus on Sunday.
The victory extends Ohio's home win streak and overall win streak to five games. Junior Blue Jackets forward Clark MacLean scored the first goal of the game and assisted on the game-tying goal, scored by forward Matt Leitner on the power-play.
Des Moines jumped out to a 2-0 lead, with a goal in the first period by Chris Knowlton and one in the second period by Nielsson Arcibal. The Junior Blue Jackets tied the game 2-2 and then took the lead at the 19:38 mark of the second period, just 1:08 after knotting the score. Forward Dan Barczuk tallied the game-winner on assists by forwards Dan Durham and Derek Roehl.
Ohio goaltender Pasquale Terrazzano made 27 saves in 60 minutes of work to earn the victory. The win was his ninth of the season in net. Ohio will host the Des Moines Buccaneers again tomorrow at Nationwide Arena. Game time is set for noon.
