MISSOULA, MT - Back at home, the Missoula Osprey were hoping some home cooking could get them out of their current losing streak.

Unfortunately, the Ogden Raptors would have none of that, and opened their four-game series here by handing the Osprey a 9-3 loss in front of 1,911 fans at Ogren Park Allegiance Field.

It's the ninth straight defeat for the Osprey, and second in a row at home. It's the second time this season the Osprey have lost nine consecutive games.

Reynaldo Navarro had four of the nine Osprey hits, with three singles and a RBI double, while Kyle Greene doubled and drove home a pair of runs.

Missoula (3-14, 12-43) took a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the third, as Navarro doubled home Rafael Hilario, and Greene plated a run with a sacrifice fly.

After Ogden (11-6, 30-25) took a 3-2 lead on a three-run home run by Kyle Russell, the Osprey tied it in the home half on a Greene RBI double with two out. However, that would be all the offense Missoula would mount. The Raptors scored a run in the sixth on a Pedro Baez home run, then added five runs in the late innings to pull away for the win.

The Osprey and Raptors play game two of the series on Friday at 7:05 p.m. Brett Reynolds (1-5, 4.67) will pitch for the Osprey, while Kyle Smit (0-0, 5.14) will pitch for the Raptors in a battle of right-handers.

Tickets can be obtained by visiting the Missoula Osprey office at 412 W. Alder St., by phone at (406) 543-3300, or online at www.missoulaosprey.com.
