Offseason Update: Flash Contributions Highlight Overseas Play

ELMA, N.Y. (Monday, October 26, 2015) - It was a busy week for players playing on loan or with their national sides, with Flash players making impacts around the globe over the last seven days.
Here's a look at the past week of the offseason:
A Look Back: October 19-25
USA Goes Undefeated Against Brazil
The U.S. Women's National Team played two matches of the Victory Tour against Brazil this week, drawing the first 1-1 on Wednesday and then playing to a 3-1 win on Sunday. The first match was highlighted with contributions by two Flash players, with Jaelene Hinkle earning her first cap and Samantha Mewis picking up her fourth. Both players entered the match as 71st minute subs.
Sydney FC Falls to Reigning Champion Canberra
Sydney FC suffered its second shutout defeat of the season, falling to Canberra United 3-0 on Saturday. Jasmyne Spencer featured for all 90 minutes of the match, while Canberra was without Michelle Heyman who was on duty with the Matildas (see below).
Heyman Assist Leads to Matildas Draw
In its first match in China, the Westfield Matildas played the host to a 1-1 result. Michelle Heyman setup Tameka Butt's score in the 50th minute, sending a low cross through the box from the right side. China, however, was able to pull a goal back late.
Nick Scores Tying Goal Against Lefkothea
Midfielder Ashley Nick got the start and played all minutes of Apollon's 2-2 draw with Lefkothea on Sunday. Down 2-1, Nick was able to pull the game level with her second goal in as many games, resulting in the 2-2 final.
Eddy's Extra Time Goal Claims Point for Yunogo
In her second game with Yunogo Belle, Elizabeth Eddy entered the match at halftime and made a big contribution. Looking at a 1-0 deficit late in the game, Eddy scored in extra time to grab a tie for Yunogo.
A Look Ahead: October 26-November 1
USA to be Honored at White House - Tues., Oct. 27, 2015
On the heels of its third Women's World Cup Championship, the U.S. Women's National Team will be welcomed to the White House to meet President Obama. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. ET on Tuesday and be live-streamed by the White House.
Sydney FC at Western Sydney - Sat., Oct. 31, 2015
Pirtek Stadium, 11 p.m. ET (2 p.m. AEDT - next day)
The Sky Blues continue the search for its first win of the season, hoping to get it this week in the Sydney Derby. Sydney FC, who was shutout in its first two matches of the season, travels to the Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday in Australia.
Adelaide at Brisbane - Sun., Nov. 1, 2015
Perry Park, 1 a.m. ET (2 p.m. AEST)
Coming off a bye week, Abby Dahlkemper and the Lady Reds head to Brisbane for its second match of the season. The Reds fought back to draw in its first game, but will be looking to take all three points on Sunday.
Apollon at Kokkinochoria - Sun., Nov. 1, 2015
SEK Agiou Athanasiou, 10 a.m. ET (5 p.m. EET)
Coming off back-to-back wins against Lefkothea and a Super Cup Championship, the Apollon Ladies travel to face Kokkinochoria on Sunday. Ashley Nick has been impactful thus far for the club, scoring in both of her appearances so far.
Yunogo Belle vs. Speranza - Sat., Oct. 31, 2015
Mimasaka Rugby & Football Stadium, 12 a.m. ET (1 p.m. JST)
With three-straight draws, Yunogo and Elizabeth Eddy head back home to host Speranza on Saturday. Eddy has been a strong contribution to the club, coming as a threat to opposing defenses in both matches.
Australia vs. England - Tues., Oct. 27, 2015
Chongqing, China, 5 a.m. ET (5 p.m. local time)
The Matildas return to action in the Dewellbon Cup on Tuesday, when the side faces the Lionesses from England. England is coming into the match off a 2-1 loss to host nation, China.
