Western New York Flash News Release

ELMA, N.Y. (Monday, October 26, 2015) - The Western New York Flash has announced its list of protected and unprotected players for the 2015 NWSL Expansion Draft, which will take place at 12 p.m. ET on November 2 with the league's newest club, the Orlando Pride. As a non-playoff team in 2015, the Flash were able to protect 10 players, while playoff teams were allowed to protect nine.

The Pride, the league's 10th team, will be able to add 10 players to its roster through the Expansion Draft, though it will not be able to take more than two players from any team.

All NWSL teams can only protect two U.S. Women's National Team allocations. If an allocation is chosen, the Pride may not select another player from that team. In addition, if a non-allocated player is taken, the effected team will be able to add an additional player to its protected list.
