Offense Delivers in Blowout Victory
July 1, 2019 - Northwest League (NWL1)
Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (9-8) picked up the lopsided 11-1 win over the Everett AquaSox (8-9) on Sunday night at Gesa Stadium. The win puts the Dust Devils just one game out of first place in the North Division behind the Spokane Indians.
Mistakes hampered Everett the entire night. The AquaSox walked ten Tri-City batters and committed six errors in the game. It was a balanced effort at the plate for the Dust Devils in the win, with eight different players getting base hits. Kelvin Melean continued to impress since returning to the team on Saturday, adding two hits and driving in two runs in the series final with Everett.
The homestand continues on Monday night with the Eugene Emeralds coming to town to begin a three-game series at Gesa Stadium. Right-hander Felix Minjarez will start the first matchup against the Emeralds on Monday night. Eugene will counter with right-hander Eduarniel Nunez.
It will be a Coca-Cola Monday where all 22-ounce Coca-Cola products are only $1 throughout the game. Great seats are available by calling the team's office at (509) 544-8789 or by going to www.dustdevilsbaseball.com to purchase tickets.
