
Odessaââ¬â¢s Sebastien Thinel Named Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month

TEMPE, AZ (December 2, 2010) -The Central Hockey League announced today that forward Sebastien Thinel of the Odessa Jackalopes has been named the Sher-Wood Central Hockey League Player of the Month for November/2010. Thinel will receive a Sher-Wood/CHL logoed watch courtesy of Sher-Wood and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.
Additionally, Thinel will be awarded 1,000 CHL Loyalty Rewards points. More than 20,000 people have joined the fastest growing sports affinity program in the past year, learn more or become a member at www.chlpoints.com.
Thinel led all players in November with 25 points, 10 goals and 15 assists, he also carried a +10 plus/minus rating during the month. A team milestone reached by Thinel during November was when he played in his 447th game in a Jacks uniform passing Scott Hillman (current head coach of the Missouri Mavericks) as the franchise's all-time leader in games played.
The St. Jerome, Quebec native recorded multiple-point games in eight of the 13 contests for Odessa in the month and four times recorded multiple-goal games. The 2009 CHL Most Valuable Player ends November on a nine-game points streak with nine goals and 11 assists accumulated over that span and currently leads the league in points (34) and is tied for the league-lead in goals (15).
2010-11 CHL Scoring Leaders
The 6-1, 187-pound forward won the Sher-Wood/CHL Player of the Month once in each of the previous two seasons earning the honor in February/2009 and February/2010.
In his eighth season with the Jacks, Thinel has totaled 571 points (215-356=571) in 455 career games.
Other players receiving consideration for the monthly award for November include Allen's Bruce Graham, Arizona's Luke Erickson, Bossier-Shreveport's David Rutherford and Justin Aikins, Colorado's Kevin Ulanski, Evansville's Nicklas Lindberg, Laredo's Neil Trimm and Jeff Bes, Odessa's Todd Robinson, Quad City's Mike McLean, Rapid City's Ryan Menei and Rio Grande Valley's Darcy Campbell.
