
Odenwaelder Helps Titans Down Nashua

Mike Odenwaelder had two extra base hits, helping the Torrington Titans (14-13) to an 8-4 victory over the Nashua Silver Knights (13-14) on Tuesday at Fuessenich Park.
He doubled in the first inning, homered in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
The Nashua Silver Knights had no answer for Glenn Marrus, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Marrus held the Nashua Silver Knights hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.
Matt Sanchez reached base four times in the game for the Nashua Silver Knights. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and fourth innings.
Eddie Dionne had an impressive outing against the Torrington Titans' lineup. Dionne held the Torrington Titans hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
Brett Susi recorded his second win of the year for the Torrington Titans. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked four and surrendered six hits.
Shawn Heide ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.
The Torrington Titans were sparked by Chris Scura and Odenwaelder, who teamed up for five hits and six RBIs.
