Oakland Roots Sign Project 51O Goalkeeper Timothy Syrel to an Academy Contract

Oakland, CA - Oakland Roots announce the signing of Project 51O Goalkeeper Timothy Syrel to an Academy Contract. Syrel is an 18-year-old from San Jose, California who joined Project 51O ahead of the USL League Two Season.

"Timothy is someone who we brought into 51O this spring and has impressed us with his presence and work ethic from day one," said Roots Technical Director Jordan Ferell. "We are really excited for his new opportunity to continue growing within the first team environment."

Syrel will wear the #60 and is a product of De Anza Force and Leigh High School.
