LOUISVILLE, Kentucky - Monterey Bay F.C. travels to face the current Eastern Conference leaders Louisville City FC at Lynn Family Stadium in Week 11 of the 2022 USL Championship regular season on Saturday, May 21. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. PT and can be streamed live on ESPN+.

Connections: Louisville City FC forward Brian Ownby spent the 2015-2016 seasons with Monterey Bay F.C. defender Hugh Roberts at Richmond Kickers. During the 2016-2017 seasons, Lou City midfielder Corben Bone spent time as teammates wih MBFC goalkeeper Dallas Jaye. In addition, Louisville defender Amadou Dia and Monterey Bay forward Chris Cortez were teammates at Phoenix Rising FC during the 2017-2018 campaign and in a second connection to Roberts, Lou City goalkeeper Kyle Morton shared time at Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in 2018 with the current Union defender and captain.
Opponent's Previous Match: Lou City FC traveled to Carson, California to take on LA Galaxy II on Friday, May 13. Louisville's Serrano scored in the 2nd minute of the match to give the visitors an immediate lead, but it didn't last long as the visitor's conceded the equalizer in the 19th minute. Louisville retook the lead six minutes into the second half before conceding a second equalizer in the 60th minute. Three minutes later, Galaxy II converted a penalty to take the 3-2 lead and then doubled that lead with a goal in the 76th minute. Louisville City FC pulled one back two minutes later to make for an exciting finish, but LA Galaxy II held on 4-3 to hand Lou City its first loss of the season.
Notes: Hitting the road for a quick stop in Louisville before returning home for three consecutive matches at Cardinale Stadium, the Crisp and Kelp will look to become the first team this season to leave Lynn Family Stadium with a victory. Louisville City FC, currently sitting atop the Eastern Conference, is undefeated at home through 10 weeks of the 2022 campaign with a record of 4-0-1. Monterey Bay F.C. is 1-6-0 this season on the road, while Louisville City FC is 68-18-25 all-time as hosts.
