NY Times Best-Selling Author Tucker Max Returns to QuikTrip Park

Grand Prairie, TX. The Grand Prairie AirHogs announce the return of New York Times best-selling author Tucker Max on Sunday, August 1st for the final "Dog Day" of the season. Max, who attended his first AirHogs game last season (June 4, 2009) will be accompanied by his dog "Murphy," and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. "Murphy" is also pegged to participate in one or more of the between-inning contests hosted by the AirHogs "Dog Day" promotional staff.

About Tucker Max (c/o: TuckerMax.com): Tucker Max received his BA from the University of Chicago in 1998. He attended Duke Law School on an academic scholarship, and earned his JD in 2001 (despite the fact that he neglected to buy any of his textbooks for his final two years and spent part of one semester-while still enrolled in classes-living in Cancun). His first book, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, has spent over 150 weeks on the NY Times Best Seller List and has over 1.5 million books in print. He co-wrote and produced the movie based on his life/book, also titled "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell." He has also been credited with being the originator and leader of a new literary genre, "fratire," and was nominated to the Time Magazine 100 Most Influential List in 2009. His next book is pegged for release in September 2010. He currently lives in Austin, Texas

About "Dog Day": The Grand Prairie AirHogs' "Dog Days" offer fans an opportunity to bring man's best friend out for a day at the ballpark. All dogs get in free, and tickets for their masters start at only $6. Numerous between-inning contests and pet-friendly sponsors will be featured throughout the night and because it is also an AirHogs "Family Sunday" pre-game catch-on-the-field and post-game kids-run-the-bases will also take place. Concession deals for the night include $1 hotdogs and $1 sodas.
