
NWSL Disciplinary Committee Releases Decision on Incident During Washington Spirit-San Diego Wave FC Match on September 10

NEW YORK - The National Women's Soccer League's Disciplinary Committee has made the following decision after review of an incident involving Washington Spirit defender Amber Brooks that occurred in the 82nd minute of the team's September 10 match against San Diego Wave FC.
After further evaluation, the Disciplinary Committee determined that Brooks made an obscene gesture towards a referee in violation of Section 12.3.6, "Major Game Misconduct", of the League Operations Manual.
As a result, Brooks has been issued a one-game suspension and a fine. The suspension will be served on Wednesday, September 21.
Brooks will also serve a one-game suspension for card accumulation on Saturday, September 17.
