Nuts Named Small Business of the Year

The Modesto Nuts Professional Baseball Club was named Small Business of the Year by the Modesto Chamber of Commerce at the annual gala on Friday, February 6th. The Nuts were selected from an all-star cast of small local businesses. Vice President Mike Gorrasi accepted the award on behalf of the organization in front of the distinguished crowd of business and political leaders.

The Modesto Nuts were recognized for their outstanding support of the Modesto Chamber of Commerce as well as the community at large. In addition, the Nuts were recognized for breaking the single season attendance record for the second consecutive year. "It is a great honor to be recognized as the small business of the year by the Modesto Chamber of Commerce," said Gorrasi. "Our success is due in large part to our partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and members. The support we receive from the local business community allows us to provide affordable family entertainment to the Central Valley during these tough economic times."
