Your Modesto Nuts have finished off a spectacular 2008 regular season with a California League playoff berth! The Nuts will face their rival, the Stockton Ports, in a best-of-three series. The first game will be played at John Thurman Field on Wednesday, September 3, at 7:05 pm. You can buy tickets online, at the Nuts box office at John Thurman Field or over the phone at (209)572-HITS. Come out and watch record-setting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin take the mound against the Ports and cheer on the Nuts all the way to a California League championship!
2008 Nuts Remake the Classics
In case you were not part of the Modesto franchise-record crowd of 4,959 that saw the game featuring Nuts Remake the Classics on August 22, then have no fear because the 2008 versions are now available for viewing on YouTube! New Franchise Attendance Record
The 2008 regular season was one to remember for Nuts fans, and more fans than ever got to see the action as the Nuts set a new franchise single season attendance record! 164,306 fans came to John Thurman Field this year, including 10 sellouts, which is another franchise record! This season also saw the two largest single-game crowds in Modesto history. The first was on May 10 for Breast Cancer Awareness Night, and the record-setting crowd of 4,959 was set August 22 on Nuts Remake the Classics Night. Thanks fans for helping make this another great season!
