
Nuts Announce Name of Pistachio Mascot

Modesto, CA - The Modesto Nuts Professional Baseball Club have announced the winning name for the newest member of their mascot family. Shelley the Pistachio, the name decided on by fans, will make her debut on Friday, June 20th at John Thurman Field. "The fans made a great choice with the name Shelley," said Nuts General Manager Tyler Richardson. "We are excited to showcase her on Friday Night."
The Modesto Nuts ran a two-month long name the mascot contest to find the name of their new Pistachio Mascot. Fans of the baseball club were given the opportunity to suggest and vote for their favorite name while being entered to win a VIP suite experience the night of the unveiling.
Gina Macias of Riverbank is the winner of our VIP experience! She will enjoy a fabulous night with a limousine ride and a night out at the ballpark in one of our suites with 15 of her friends.
Shelley's fun and fearless attitude is ready to be in the spotlight. Her appearance and sassy personality will be unveiled at the Modesto Nuts game against the High Desert Mavericks on Friday, June 20th at John Thurman Field. The night will be fully equipped with post game fireworks compliments of Sierra Nevada to ensure an unforgettable evening.
