HR: ELM – Jeremy Dodson Bangor used a late push to upend Elmira 6-2. Elmira drew first blood with a RF Jeremy Dodson two-run home run in the first, part of a 3-for-4 evening, while Bangor scored one in the fourth on a DH Don Ross single. The Lumberjacks then tied the game on a SS Shin Uchino single in the eighth, before breaking the game open with a four-run ninth, which included a two-RBI single from 3B Paul Powell. Lance Calmus pitched the complete game for the victory, scattering nine hits and striking out six for the victory.

QUEBEC 8, ACES 3

@ Quebec City, Que. Time: 3:17 ATT: 3,061

W: Mike Hoyt (1-0) L: Max Newill (0-1) S: None

HR: None The fading Capitales rebounded from a slow start to pick up an 8-3 win over the Aces. Quebec was down 1-0 until the bottom of the fifth, when they tied the game on a single from LF Buck McNabb, and then added two more in the sixth on a double from C Olivier Lepine. The Capitales put the game away with a four-run seventh, which included two-RBI singles from Lepine and 2B Sam Bozanich. Mike Hoyt, who has yet to allow a run in five appearances for Quebec, picked up the win in relief.

NEW JERSEY 8, BROCKTON 6

@ Brockton, Mass. Time: 3:16 ATT: 5,625

W: Nelson Figueroa (3-3) L: Jerry Dunn (0-1) S: Fabricio Benitez (1)

HR: BRO – Saul Bustos (3) Down 6-2, New Jersey scored eight unanswered runs to defeat Brockton 8-6. Saul Bustos's three-run blast in the first inning helped to put the Rox ahead early, but New Jersey chipped away at the lead with runs in the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth innings, while Aaron Myers, Nelson Figueroa, and Fabricio Benitez kept Brockton at bay by retiring the last nineteen Rox batters. 3B Wilton Veras went 4-for-5 for New Jersey with a double and three RBI.

NORTH SHORE 8, NEW HAVEN COUNTY 1

HR: NS – Joe Hastings, Travis Oglesby Jeremy Sugarman pitched a gem while the North Shore offense thumped sixteen hits to snap New Haven's ten-game winning streak. Sugarman allowed one run on four hits, striking out five, while 1B Vic Davilla, CF Rob Fischer, and DH Travis Oglesby each had three hits for the Spirit.
