
North Carolina FC Adds Depth to Midfield with Saeed Robinson Signing

Cary, NC- North Carolina FC announced today the signing of 26-year-old midfielder Saeed Robinson. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Saeed is a young and fast midfielder," said Head Coach Colin Clarke. "He's a versatile player who can score goals and who will add pace to our attack as we continue to build our roster for 2017."
The Jamaica native spent last season with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks of the United Soccer League. There, Robinson logged 1,456 in 28 appearances, while adding three goals and three assists.
Prior to his time in the USL, Robinson split his collegiate career between Western Texas College and Grand Canyon University, from 2009 through 2012. At Western Texas in 2009 and 2010, Robinson had 72 points, 29 goals and 14 assists, in 36 games.
At Grand Canyon University, Robinson was named 2011's PacWest Newcomer of the Year and was named to First Team All-PacWest. That year he led the team in points, goals, game-winning goals, and he ranked second in assists.
The midfielder has also been a member of USL PDL teams FC Tucson and LA Misioneros.
"I'm very excited to join North Carolina FC," said Robinson. "I feel this is a step up in my career, and I really wanted to be here. Fans can expect lots of goals, speed and excitement from me. I'm looking forward to a successful season with NCFC."
