Normal, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, will officially put individual game tickets on sale to the general public Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. They will also have a "Spring Cleaning Merchandise Sale," and host the Town of Normal Easter Egg Hunt, at The Corn Crib that same day. Last year, over 2,500 people attended the Easter Egg Hunt! The CornBelters will play their first regular season home game of the 2013 season at the ballpark on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. versus the Windy City Thunderbolts (*CEFCU Opening Night*).
"You always know the season is upon us when individual tickets go on sale to the general public," said CornBelters Vice President of Ticket Sales, Joe Rejc. "It's a very exciting time of year for us, and for our fans."
Tickets start at only $5 each! They are available for the "*Education Day*" exhibition game on Thursday, May 9 at 10 a.m., as well as all 51 regular season home games. Fans in attendance can purchase tickets at the Mid-Illini Credit Union Box Office. Those who are unable to make it to The Corn Crib on March 30 can still purchase tickets or over the phone (309.454.2255) until 2 p.m., or online anytime ( https://www.ticketreturn.com/prod2/team.asp?SponsorID4098).
Out with the old, and in with the new! The "Spring Cleaning Merchandise Sale" will feature unreal discounts on any current merchandise (while supplies last). It will be located just outside the Barker Buick, GMC & Cadillac Main Gate at the ballpark. Hats will be available for as little as $1 each, t-shirts for just $5 each and jerseys for only $20 each. Select kids merchandise will be as affordable as $.05 each! To take advantage of these unreal discounts, fans must be in attendance on March 30. However, fans can still shop for their favorite merchandise online anytime ( http://store.normalbaseball.com/).
Gates will open for the Town of Normal Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m., and the hunts will begin at 11 a.m. The Easter Bunny, and Corny (the best mascot in professional sports!), will both be in attendance! Besides the hunts themselves, kids can take part in carnival games and enjoy the inflatables in the "McDonald's/Little Jewels Kids Zone."
