
Normal CornBelters Individual Game Tickets on Sale April 12

Normal, Ill. - Individual game tickets for the 2014 season for the Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, will go on sale to the public Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m. Also, taking place at The Corn Crib on April 12, will be the Town of Normal Easter Egg Hunt and the CornBelters "Spring Cleaning Merchandise Sale." The CornBelters will play their first regular season home game of the 2014 season ("CEFCU Opening Night") at The Corn Crib on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. versus the Evansville Otters.
Individual game tickets for the season start as low as $6! They are available for the "Education Day" exhibition game on Thursday, May 8 at 10 a.m., the battle of the sexes exhibition softball game against the Chicago Bandits on June 3, and all 51 regular season home games. Tickets will be on sale at the Mid-Illini Credit Box Office at The Corn Crib on April 12 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Fans can stop by or call the box office at (309) 454-2255 or go online anytime to www.normalbaseball.com . Every Saturday from April 12 until the end of the regular season, the Mid-Illini Credit Box Office will be open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
"Individual tickets going on sale means the start of Spring and getting closer to CornBelters baseball!" said CornBelters Box Office Manager Justin Cartor. "We have very affordable ticket prices and our fifth anniversary season is going to be a special one for the CornBelters. This is a very exciting time of the year for us!"
The gates on April 12 for the Town of Normal Easter Egg Hunt will open at 10 a.m. and the hunts will begin at 11 a.m. The Easter Bunny and Corny will both be in attendance for the hunts. There will be carnival games, inflatables and other fun activities for the kids to enjoy that day. In addition, Huskers Grill on the first base side will be open serving delicious food and beverages. "The Town of Normal Parks & Recreation Department is excited to partner with the Normal CornBelters again this year to host the 2014 Town of Normal Easter Egg Hunt! This is a free event offered to all children in the community!" said Town of Normal Aquatics & Special Events Supervisor Joel Dickerson. "There will be over 12,000 candy filled Easter eggs for children ages 2-10 to scoop up off the fields in 4, age appropriate hunts. Be on the lookout for special prize filled eggs, you never know what might be inside! Carnival games will be available for children of all ages throughout the event."
Also, taking place at The Corn Crib will be the CornBelters "Spring Cleaning Merchandise Sale." The sale will feature very rare and unreal discounts on current CornBelters merchandise (while supplies last). It will be located outside the Barker Buick GMC Cadillac Main Gate.
